FAN DANCE TRINITY — ONE WEEKEND, THREE EVENTS
Saturday Fan Dance · Saturday Night Dark Trail · Sunday Fan Dance
One weekend, three events… Fan Dance Trinity will test your endurance as you battle against the distance and the fatigue. Complete an Original Fan Dance on Saturday, Dark Trail on Saturday night and then repeat the Fan Dance on the Sunday to see if you can go always a little further.
The Fan Dance is a challenge that begins as soon as the race does with an immediate ascent of Pen y Fan which is 2,907 feet (886 m). The route then descends on the other side of the peak with a pathed route to the halfway point before turning around and reversing the route. The return leg provides an even tougher challenge with the evil ascent back up the Fan known as Jacob's Ladder.
Dark Trail is your opportunity to take on an arduous route march in the dark. This event will give you a whole new take on the Brecon Beacons and Pen y Fan. Test your limits and your senses when you scale some of the highest peaks in South Wales and proceed to undertake a tough physical challenge under the cover of darkness. This is not the Fan Dance route but a circular route devised by our DS. Further details will only be released to registrants and the full route will not be made available ahead of the event.
